Do you play guitar / bass / keyboard?

I am putting together an exciting new band. I am looking for interesting, creative people to join. I'm an experienced musician, I am a singer and drummer, and have got songs ready to go. I used to be in a good band that toured, went to the US, made an album, had good times but moved away and it came to an end.

I am not looking for maudlin indie types, though I do love classic indie, and pop, and Motown, and The Magnetic Fields, and the Pixies, and the Small Faces, and the White Stripes, and Wire, and a lot of other bands... I don't really like citing genres or influences; I'd rather just focus on our own unique sound rather than ape anyone else. The main thing is to make people dance.

I am also a freelance illustrator and I plan to merge artistic and musical output, ie. making zines / posters / putting on our own nights / free DIY goods with track releases etc.

It's going to be fun, with the right people. If you want to play plenty of gigs, and go places; if you have a sense of humour and a sense of adventure, then please get in touch.
