We are the Dead Sea Apes. We are a 3 piece instrumental band from Manchester, and are looking to expand on our sound.

Our influences are: CAN, PiL, Kyuss, Shellac, Ennio Morricone, Mogwai, 13th Floor Elevators, Beefheart, Julian Cope, Autechre, NEU!, Zappa, Portishead, OM
- we constantly listen to music and love stuff that falls out of this list, but just to give you a broad idea

we are on the lookout for an inventive keyboard player/soundsmith. we are definitely interested in working with drones and adding dubby atmospheres. We are keen to keep an organic sound, so are not very keen on the idea of click-based tracks. we would also appreciate some kind of keyboard skills (it would be a bonus if you played other instruments)

We recently played an improvised set with Damo Suzuki, and Stuart Maconie played a track of ours on The Freak Zone. we have our own recording facilities, contacts in other areas and really want to do something good.
