I’m a 29 year old bass player who’s just moved to Manchester and wants to join a band, play gigs, record CDs and generally have good times.

I’ve got a bass amp that’s big enough to play pub venues and a car to move it around with. And, perhaps most importantly, I've got a bass guitar. I've also got ten or so years of experience of playing gigs, recording etc...

I have a 9-5 job, but I’m available weekends and evenings for practice/playing gigs/watching gigs/drinking beers.

I particularly like the following bands:

The National, Eels, Radiohead, Death Cab for Cutie, The Twilight Sad, Million Dead, Blur, Why?, Brand New, Mew...

But I also like many, many others besides thm, so I open to suggestions regardless of your specific genre (other than rap metal or funk – not really my bag). Basically, if you're a band with a spark of originality, ambition and imagination and are in need of a bass player then please get in touch. No cover bands or tribute acts please.
