Excuse my general crap-ness when it comes to stuff like this, but I am new. So fuck off.

Does anyone have any tips on good (cheap-ish) pedals that can do big, rich, distortion, i.e. No Age, The Walkmen, Titus Andronicus, etc?

There is only me and a drummer, so anything that has a bit of bass, low end, to it would be good!

Any other tips or ideas are gladly recieved.
