GUN FOR HIRE | MANCHESTER
I'll be a free bassist after July of this year. Have tons of gigging and recording experience both in the UK and abroad. Been playing since my teens and have been in bands and bands since then. I have spent the last three and a bit years as one of the two basses in The Vipers. I like to think that i'm not half bad.
Anyway I was planning on taking a couple of months rest before starting something new up. However the thought of not playing for even just a few months is making me feel a bit sick, so I might be tempted to come out of retirement early for something if it blows me away enough.
I'm into all sorts of stuff, but particularly into dirty/fuzzy/fast and fun stuff; think Future of The Left, DFA 1979, Be Your Own Pet, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Bronx etc. Basically I'm looking for something EXCITING. Quiet and sappy indie bands in the vein of Snow Patrol etc don't really do it for me, so if that's your thing, I'm not for you sorry. I like to make a racket.
So. In need of good bass? Ask away.
