You don't have to live in Reading but it'd probably help.

We're two guitarists and one bassist -- all aged 22 -- looking for a drummer and a singer aged between 18-25 to form a band with (we have no male/female preference).

Here are our influences:

Idlewild, Modest Mouse, The Race, Mew, Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, Interpol, Twilight Sad, Joy Division, Death Cab for Cutie, The National etc

Sadly we don't really sound like any of the above. None of us are typically great musicians - pretty basic - but we are dedicated to writing songs and obviously want them to be good.. We don't have a demo at the moment but if you need to hear our playing I can provide a link to a band we used to play in a few years back.

What we're looking for:

Drummer: We're probably looking for someone who can kick us in to shape with their time keeping skills! Not someone that hits their drums as hard as they can ALL the time.

Singer: favourite voices roddy woomble, michael stipe, the singer from the sundays, asobi seksu, jimi goodwin from doves, natasha khan. This could go on - if you can sing and write lyrics and like some of the same bands get in touch! if you can play an instrument, even better.
