LONDON - Bassist for two-bass Shellac/Sonic Youth thing
I'm one half of the duel bass attack of Songs From The Shows. The other half has to go off and contribute to British foreign policy from May, so we need someone to step into his sizable shoes.
We practice in Holloway, North London, and gig once or twice a month at DIY noise and alternative rock nights, or anywhere else that will put us on and seem like decent promoters. We have a very open policy to songwriting - everyone writes their own parts, and we all commit to playing in a way that leaves space for every instrument to be audible and interesting.

This is a review from God Is In The TV Zine:
"Yes, the name is a little... odd... and the prospect of a band featuring two bassists may be daunting to some at first, but this monolithic collision of forceful rhythm, crunching time sig changes and elegant spiralling guitar sounds is well worth spending a bit of time with.
"This is the kind of music that's informed by the likes of Shellac, Slint and The Jesus Lizard, but takes things off in a slightly psychedelic direction, adding hints of The Cardiacs and Levitation. Live, they become something else entirely, with the energy and volume of the performance elevating each song to a messianic wall of sound. Catch them now while they're still unknown and you can say you were there at the beginning."
Anyone fancy getting involved?
Please don't reply to this ad if you want to slap. It just wouldn't work with the rest of the sound.
