Bassist for 3 piece. Indie drifty stuff
Hello,
We're looking for a bass player because our old one left for a job in San Francisco.
Ideally based South of the river, as we currently rehearse in Camberwell.
Near enough to Shoreditch is also a possibility though.
We are guitar/vox and drums wanting bass.
If you also sing, play guitar or create noise any other way aswell as play bass, we're quite open to this sort of shenanigans too.
It will be very much mostly a bass appointment though.
It's not the most super-serious musical proposition you've ever had; we have day jobs but playing helps keep us sane.
We've been doing this for about four/five years, we're both about 30.
We rehearse weekly (give or take), usually Monday night, and usually try to play around London every couple of months.
Apart from that, we go to gigs and drink a bit.
Sound references include Early Verve/Spiritualized, Campag Velocet guitars, Early Years that sort of thing.
The first two tunes on Myspace are fairly new and are the direction that we're heading.
I.e. ideally some sort of drifty-ish sound but still with some kind of song buried in there.
School of Seven Bells are currently on the stereo. We're also fans of Eels, Shack, Sigur Ros, Yeasayer etc...
Get in touch if you're interested.
oh yes, no slap bass enthusiasts / headless wonders etc... think indie. think indie. but with noise and delays pedals.
