Glastonbury Or Bust! Ensemble being set up. Cuban/Brazilian/Funky Drummer/BigBeat/Rock. Party music. Fancy it?
This is the idea: I want to set up a originals & covers band with the sole intent on doing the festival circuit in 2010. We're talking Glastonbury of course, but hopefully some of the others as well. The Edinburgh Festival would also be pretty cool. Anyway, back to the point of the post:
This might sound a bit odd but hear me out. I'm looking for musicians (at least reasonably good ones) that are fairly lively and outgoing. This will be a mishmash of Cuban, Brazilian and other Latin styles such as bossa nova, salsa, samba, flamenco (don't let this scare you!), with the attitude and full-on party sound of bigbeat and funky drummer-era hip hop. This is out&out party music for people to dance to, not stand around and be bored.
If you want some kind of frame of reference; check out the following links all rammed together....
