I go to a music college in Guildford called the Academy of Contemporary Music, and they frequently hold auditions for all sorts of artists looking for band members. They normally deal with bands/artists that have management in place.

If you're looking for (generally) good musicians to add to your band's line-up it is well worth giving the ACM an email and they might be able to sort you out.
