wondering if anyone here could recommend any portable recording equipment that could be used to record 'live', i've looked at a few digital recorders but they seem to be voice recorders that i'm guessing won't handle a full backline too well. I used to record from a mic into my laptop but it's too bulky to carry down with all my equipment now.

any ideas / recommendations would be appreciated.
