I was wondering if anyone had some advice on buying a violin. I currently own an acoustic instrument and an electric violin which I use to play live. I am going to be doing some recording in the not too distant future and will be using my acoustic violin. However I do not like the tone of my violin and would love a new instrument but cannot afford the £2000 which I would be looking at.
I've never been able to afford an expensive instrument, which most violinists seem to own. I don't really know what my options are, if any alternatives?
