London Country Noise - Sparklehorse/Waits/Pavement/Bonnie Prince
Hello, I play songs, sometimes in public, and could do with people to help out and generally make a small racket with me. On recordings firstly, but live also if you're into that sort of thing.
Guitars - Ranging from Pedal Steel to fuzzy noise to Banjo.
Drumming - just someone with a snare drum and brushes or something. Or full kit. Whatever.
Bass - Double or electric
Organs, Accordians, Pianos - For some reason i'm lumping these all together in the same bracket. Cos I can.
Fiddle and Cello - Lovely stuff.
Trumpets - Why not?
I'm fairly all over the place, especially in how I want these recordings to sound, these past couple of days I've been engrossed in Tom Waits' lastest album, all Country balladry etc.. it's simply gorgeous. But last week I was trying to crack all that electronic drumbeat wizardry for similar reasons.. so who knows? But you can have both can't you? Probably not, but it might be fun to try. Probably not.
The songs I have for these recordings are just acoustic demos right now, so would love to have help for ideas about arrangements.
Ideas of how (who) I'd like these recordings to sound..
Tom Waits, Sparklehorse, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Why?, Neutral Milk Hotel, Okkervil River, Neil Young, Bright Eyes..
Any help would be received gleefully.
