Newcastle 6 piece New Vinyls (currently a 5 piece) are looking for a keyboard player to join the band permanently. We're looking for someone aged 16-20.

We play music influenced by Belle and Sebastian, The Smiths, Elvis Costello, The Jam, Pulp and Orange Juice.

We recently played as the support band on 5 dates of The Maccabees UK tour last month (we were personally asked to play the gigs by The Maccabees themselves). Our debut single, Frosted Glass, is due to be released on Newcastle based record label Sweet Records early next year. Other support tours are currently being arranged for next year.

Requirements:

- You must live in the tyne and wear area, as we practice in Tynemouth.

- You must be prepared to be committed, and you must be intending to stay in the North East for University or whatever you're doing in the next couple of years.

It doesn't matter whether you're amazing at playing keyboard or not, we're simply looking for someone who is committed and enthusiastic. And we don't mind if you've never been in a band before, either.
