got some software (cakewalk, cubase) but i don't really know what else i need.

i've never going to be able to afford an Apple, what other laptops are worth a pop? The laptop would be used purely for music production and I'd probably get a wee external hard-drive....
Looking at a budget of like...£350-425...which i know aint much....

So yeah, any advice would be brilliant!
