New album soon. Isn't that exciting? It is for me, anyway, cos I love 'em.

They've been keeping themselves very low-key. Their website's hardly ever updated and the press seem to have forgotten they exist. But that's probably the way they want things.

I hope they move on a little on their next album. I love All Is Dream- it's quite possibly my favourite album of all time (tis either that or Godspeed's Lift Your Skinny fists...), but it was similar in sound to Deserter's Songs. I'm not sure where they can go now really, but I'm interested to see, especially as their development seems to run pretty parralell to The Flaming Lips' over the last few years (they share Dave Fridmann as producer and are Jonathan Donahue used to be in the Flaming Lips) and the Flaming Lips really threw down the gauntlet with Yoshimi...
