hello people, i need your help.
my band are playing at a friend's party at the weekend and we are also supposed to be sorting out a CD of some songs for afterwards. naturally we want to put songs we like but we also need to think of some popular songs that everyone will have heard.

bear (sp?) in mind thyere will be the obligatory parents/grandparents, but mostly itll be people with a massive range in musical taste, but who mostly like what is considered as alternative music, so we're going for a kind of "indie-disco" theme to keep everyone happy. here's some of the bands we're likely to include:

we're looking for songs that make people think "i havent heard this for ages!". you get the idea.. suggest a song.
