My Vitriol I Active, has finally come to an end. the domain www.my-vitriol.com has lapsed, so I feel it is a good time to close the site and look for a new venture.
Thanks to all 888 of you that registered (final count 889 members, me being one!), and made it feel as if I was doing something right.
Even bigger thanks to molkoshake who helped me run the site when I couldn't be bothered, You are a star!! I owe you plenty of beer!!! Thanks also goes to Charlotte who helped out as well for a short while!!

A short story

Since the site launched, we gained over 150,000 unique visitors in just over 2 years. Visitor Numbers were dropping drastically from over 33000 visitors in 2002, to only 24000 in 2003. Admittedly, I'd probably get about 10000 hits in 2004 if i kept it running, as so far this January, I've had 865 hits!
In 2003, the first 6 months of the year averaged about 2000 hits, however when things stopped happening, hits dropped to around 1500.
The busiest month overall was july 2002 with over 11000 hits in that month alone!

The whole website is currently held in a MySQL Database, and contains all the work that has been put in, with news stories, articles, and press cuttings, and appropriate permissions sought to publish online. The whole site was designed in PHP_Nuke and the database is for sale, as is the domain name www.my-vitriol.net . Does anyone want to continue the work? If someone wants it, take a trip to www.marky.info and click the contact me button at the bottom of the page!
