No doubt all the too-cool-for-school people will snub me for this, but I saw The Modern on Friday night at the Little Civic in Wolverhampton and they were fantastic. A great fun pop band.
To their credit as well it must have been a hugely random experience for them. They were supported by a really bad sixth form emo band and played to, shall we say, a sparse audience. But they pulled it off a treat.
Commence the lambastations! (is that even a word?)
