it came in the post yesterday!

i bought it on the strength of 'jam band death cult' and was thinking "nah, probably won't be that good" but YES! it certainly is.

how good is 'shake it off'?

it's been ages since an album made me want to dance so much. and i really like the thinking behind it all too, all the positive, good-times stuff. i think they pull if off with minimum cheese levels.

parts of it remind me of the avalanches and the go! team, although i don't really like either of them (avalanches are just a bit crap/novelty, go! team have that 'rapper' who's all "we are here to rock the house, i am a serious rapper, respect my flow or else").

i can't wait for my first opportunity to play it AT my friends LOUDLY.
