Perfection
Ahh.
I've just returned from the Strokes, at Manchester. The band were on form, sounding better than record.
However, the crowd were perfect. Usually, when I'm at the front, you've got a fair deal of smokers (weed usually), 8ft fat bastards, and skinny scenesters with pointy elbows.
Tonight, even the crowdsurfers were good. One was grateful for my help, and I was next to this very friendly John Brainlove clone during Hard to Explain. I'm not hurt, and I didn't feel like kicking someone... at all.
So, thanks to everyone who came into contact with me down there.
I don't mind if you don't like this thread, but I have to show my glee.
What's your ideal gig experience?
Jumping around like a lunatic or stood at the sound desk, gazing from afar? I get the best of both, coming back for the encore.
