I had the Very Best Of on my way home from work, and felt compelled to start a thread

I realised that quite possibly my favourite Smiths song is 'I Started Something I Couldnt Finish'. If I have this on in the car, I can't restrain myself from singing stupidly loud

Also, and somewhat predictably, 'This Charming Man'. This is because it reminds me of the time my mate Chap was hammered at about 5am and told me to put it on because "he knew all the words". He knew barely any, and it was one of the funniest three minutes of my life. When I hear it now, it always makes me smile

Thirdly (and somewhat of a cliche), is 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out'. I first heard it when I was about 16, and like most 16 year olds, I thought it summed me up. I know now that this is laughable, but I still think the song is ace
