The Coral. I's listening to the one that has the nuclear aftermath looking cover (name escapes me just now)... and it's such oddly happy infectious music. Good stuff!
Portastatic/Superchunk. Superchunk doesn't even got a slot at Tower. Which is weird cos Matt, in addition to being in two great bands, is the pres and founder of Merge Records. Can you imagine what his Daytimer looks like? Shite. I get cranky if the batteries are low on the remote and I have to change TV stations manually. But I digress. Every couple of weeks - as if by magnetic pull! - I'm pulling out Portastatic's Bright Ideas. It's a better pop record than the New Pornographers, and I dig NP. I'll spare ya's the mini-review of Bright Ideas and just tell ya, it's 8.5/10. Yeah, it's that good!
