Glancing over my cd collection I was rather taken aback by how many bands I've been introduced to over this past year (some listed below might have been brought to my attention going back a little longer). Thank you DiS and my DiS friends: you've made my miserable little life a little bit better!

Red House Painters. Gonna see Kozelek next month.
Les Savy Fav. Don't gotta be a pretty boy to make killer rock 'n roll; score one for fat and bald frontmen!
Autolux. Future Perfect is near perfect.
Kings of Leon. Meh.
Jesus Lizard. Crazy wild shite here fellas.

Kaiser Chiefs. Their single ain't half bad. (Didn't make it through the whole album though.)
Magic Numbers. Not my cuppa.
The Wilderness. Quality art-rock I'll rarely be in the mood to listen to.
Goldfrapp. Disco returneth!
Your Code Name Is: Milo. Meh.
The Ponys. Celebration Castle gets my nod for Album of the Year.
Patrick Wolf. Tristan for Single of the Year.
The Walkmen. Good stuff.
Tom Vek. Meh.
The Hold Steady. Good stuff.
Pinback. Mellow music that packs a wallop.
The Eels. Can't remember if I even played it yet.
Spoon. Great.
Love. Not every band on this list is new.
Mountain Goats. Thanks Mr Fullerov.
Portastatic. Great. Gotta get me hands on a Superchunk album.
Death From Above 1979. Great.
Deerhoof. Not my cuppa.
Fountains of Wayne. Can't really remember what they sound like just now.
Dillinger Escape Plan. Crap.
Long-view. ?
Longwave. Tis OK.
Shout Out Louds. A close second to NP in the poppy-pop category.
New Pornographers. Love it.
Engineers. Pass.
Sleater-Kinney. The Woods is well deserved being on many of the year-end lists I've seen.

Lupine Howl. Fuckin' A!
The National. One of my new favorites.
!!!. Killer cool inventive disco.
Amusement Parks on Fire. I like the debut alot and think the guy has crazy potential.
The Delays. I like 'em (but let's keep that between just us).
