Though wishpig, alcxxk and -gen- refuse to acknowlege their love for lists, the rest of us live for it. And okay -gen-, yes, I love seeing my own list in print. ;-) As the benchmark of good taste, I offer you my list for comparision purposes. For those of you who didn't know Porcupine was the best record of 1983, you do now. *ahem*

OK, so this list is picking the best or your favorite record - just one! - from each year beginning with whatever year you feel like. And, if you're like me, you'll find half a dozen great records released in 1997 but none in 1996 and finally you'll say, "fuck it", and post whatever you've got.

Note. In some cases I didn't necessarily choose the Best record of the year but rather how I'd want my collection of albums to be if I could only have 1 record from each year. You make your list whichever which way ya want, eh.
