Diane Cluck - Countless Times
WOW. I've only just been introduced to her through this release. I think she has one album before this but I've never heard her before. She's part of the whole New York 'anti-folk' movement, like Kimya Dawson, Jeffrey lewis, etc.
This has to be one of the starkest, most haunting things I have ever heard. It's so bare, just her, a guitar and a multitrack. The production is very lo-fi and intimate, there's a lot of natural reverb to the sound. And despite being just her, the track called 'Love Me If Ye Do' has the most amazingly sweet harmony to it. I'm in love with this album already and I've only heard it once.
Anyone else heard of her before?
I should go to bed now...
