of the year? i'd say this year its mostly been tied to the best records, which doesn't always happen. thus i'd say my fave productions this year would be:
1. sufjan stevens - illinois
2. sleater kinney - the woods (SO GOOD)
3. antony & johnsons - i am a bird now

and yes i am aware of how nerdy this thread is.
