Reading through the Coachella thread I's thinking "desert" and "palm trees" and "sunsets" and 30some of my favorite bands and how much bigtime fun is that gonna be?! Then I translated "desert" for "hot and dusty and sweaty" and substituted "tumbleweeds" for "palm trees" and added 5 hours of driving, shitty hot dogs from the concession stands and porta potties. Fucking porta potties... and it occured to me I hate festivals.

I'm thinking most of you guys have seen the majority of all the live acts you've attended at some sort of festival setting. That right? Of course, there're several of you who quite regularly frequent the nightclub circuit and after seeing your favorite bands at a club you end up crashed on Colin Roberts floor. But most of you aren't as wreckless with your minds and bodies. "Colin's going straight to hell," you remind yourself before entertaining any notions that the party circut is for you. But you love music as much as any one. You've seen most your favorite bands at festivals.
