i was wondering- is there a memory you have of listening to a song or a band that was just truly- to quote from Annie Hall- "transplendental"- a polymorflous piece of music you heard once, an occassion that you will remember FOR EVER, ie. not just "well i was sat in my room doing an essay one night and, man, Rachel stevens in my ears...woah"

i have a friend who heard "everything in its right place" in Ankar-Wat in Thailand at sunrise... but for me it was hearing "Float On" by modest mouse played by a total stranger on my first day in Prague on a trek round Europe- the sense of total nervous exhileration will stay with me forever
