I didn't have anything to do last night, so I looked at the gig listings for Manchester and saw something that took my fancy. A gig at the Roadhouse in fact, with the Superkings (Who are OK) and a band called Drone.

I'd never heard of Drone before, but I looked them up on the internet, and they're on ATP so I thought they must be great!

Except the band that are on ATP are The Drones. Drone were an awful awful fist pumping, Guns and Roses-esque RAWK band. None of the other bands were much cop either, apart from the Superkings, who I've seen twice in a week by total accident and they're growing on me.

So, um, has anyone else made a mistake like this? Bought a My Chemical Romance album instead of a My Bloody Valentine album maybe?
