after a bunch of buzz around the Kamasi Washington record last year, and partly due to his and his friends work with people like Flying Lotus, Thundercat and of course Kendrick, i am ready to declare an actual jazz revival underway

at the moment the only real evidence for this is that Pitchfork have given big, 8.0+ reviews to people like Esperanza Spalding, Anthony Braxton and Vijay Iyer / Wadada Leo Smith in the past few weeks, but i'm sure this is going to grow throughout the year
