This has made me relise that thier are a number of years that I find really little stuff I enjoy from. 1974, 1976, 1984, 1985, 1990 and 1999 come to mind. Then there are years that are ridiculously good, where albums that don't even make the top 5 would top most years. 1967, 1969 1977, 1979, 1989, 1997, 2000, 2004 and 2007. Looking back I think 2012 was the last strong year, although I dont remember it being particularly good at the time. Although nothing touches the creative bursts of the late 60s and 70s. I reckon that more great albums were produced in those two periods then all the other years outside them.
