It basically impossible, isn't it. I've been trying to do it for about 7 years (ever since I started writing music) and I don't think I've ever come up with something I'm proud of. These days I don't even know where to start really. All I seems to be able to write are either cliched nothing songs or stuff that is just embarrassing. I'm nearly done recording a post hardcore/noise rock album with only vocals left, and its so frustrating.
Anyone here a lyricist? Anyone got any tips? Or alternatively, is anyone the same as me and would like to bitch about it?
