Well, I've tried so, so hard to get into Doves for the last 10 years but I just can't.

I'd like to think I'm more open-minded than just dismissing them as a "Campaign for Real Ale* band" or "should have stayed as Sub Sub, lol!" but it's the lead singer's voice. He sounds like he's just paid for a bus to his own funeral.
