Help! Wedding playlist for my sister...
Right. I've been asked to create a playlist for my sister's upcoming nuptials. It'll be played after the band (jazz/swing/typical wedding stuff) has finished, until the end of the night - about 90 mins.
The crowd will be yer standard mix of aged relatives and hot young things (late 20s), with relatively few 30/40 somethings. Sister appreciates good music but doesn't stray too far from the indie/guitar mainstream.
I'm thinking plenty of Motown/50s/60s stuff that everyone likes [citation needed], plus a few more recent poppy songs, avoiding the usual likes of "Come On Eileen" and aiming for "ooooh I love this, I haven't heard it in ages" rather than "ah yes, this is wedding disco music". Any suggestions?
Secondly, the music will probably be played on an iDevice of some sort, and my two options at the moment are iTunes or Spotify. Is there any other app/package that would do a better job? It'd be great to be able to manually adjust the segue from one track to the next, but iTunes only allows either "on" or "off".
Thanks!
