R-H's "shittest classic rock" thread made me wonder about music I hated when it came out, and I still hate now, even though 20+ years might have elapsed.
I'm suprised by things I'll tolerate (or even enjoy) now that I couldn't stand then, but equally surprised by how much I still loathe some bands and their output.
Rather than growing to love something, what music seems to open up a bottomless well of spite and bile, no matter how much time has elapsed?

As an example - now enjoying Soft Cell. Still hating Dire Straits.
