Musicians' Autobiographies
Any favourites? What makes a good one?
I'm reading Neil Young's one, Waging Heavy Peace, at the moment. It's very conversational, gives you a lot of his slightly crazy old man personality. But then also sometimes it's hard to tell if he's taking the piss...pretty great, all in all.
I also really like it when they're a bit more like novels, like Guthrie's Bound for Glory and Fahey's How Bluegrass Music Destroyed My Life. I recommend those to fans of either.
Hit me.
