Mona & Maria: "My Sun"
A review tipped me to this female duo. So beautiful I can't place it in a standard genre. Great harmonies, great melodies. A little folk-y, but so much more than that - a bit like Goldrapp's Seventh Tree, which was rooted in folk, but went way beyond. Some of the arrangements remind me of the Zombies, Left Banke, and Jefferson Airplane's "Surrealistic Pillow", without ever aping them.

The last song on the album, "Shivers in the Blue" is my fave song of the year.
