Darren Fu - a new fu-rce in music!
Hi,
My name is Darren Fu and I'm contacting you today to showcase my music and inquire into any opportunities that your company might be able to offer me.
My musical story began at the age of 14 when I learned to play drums, guitar and bass and I've continued to play in different bands from then until now.
In the past year I’ve been playing gigs acoustically and I have started to write and sing my own material, I have completed just over an album's worth of tracks and I have played all over Northern Ireland, plus gigs in Spain and Scotland. I’m a music student at SERC and have learned a lot about working and being professional in the music industry.
I am heavily influenced by blues, jazz, alternative, indie and grunge rock as well as pop. My most comfortable genres to play would be blues, grunge and pop. In my songs these 3 genres usually come out into the music. You can hear my music at the following links:

The album I have put together is all based on true events and real emotions - every song has a powerful personal meaning. This principle informs my approach to covers. When I cover a song I play it to suit my feelings and try to encapsulate what the song means to me. I can only hope that all the love and commitment I put into music helps others one day.
The reason for my interest in music was simply listening to Jimi Hendrix and wanting to write meaningful songs and produce music that others can relate to. As I believe as Hendrix once said, ‘If there is going to be a change in the world, it will done through music’.
Hopefully I can be a part of that by sharing my music to as wide as an audience I can - but I need your help to realise this dream. Please let me know if you have any advice or can offer me a concrete opportunity to help advance my music and build my career in the industry.
I really appreciate your time in reading this and look forward to hearing your response when it is convenient.
Many thanks,
Darren Fu
