basically: bands that you think are subpar, but youreally want to like because they play a certain kind of music you otherwise find enjoyable and you'll still try out each new album they release hoping they finally "get it right."

mine:

- Raveonettes: I gave up a while ago, but for a while I was hoping they would eventually move out of "anemic JAMC Clone" mode. Nope.

- Grouper: I really want to like her stuff, but it sounds like a really simple version of Flying Saucer Attack or Roy Montgomery to me. "Okay, vocals and guitar are record... aaaaaand turn the reverb up to 11. New Grouper album!"

- Deerhunter: I actually enjoy them... I just don't get the hype. they're pretty hit or miss.
