Just bought an Akai MPC 1000 on the cheap, and I've got no idea how to use it.

After a bit of reading the manual (half of which is in Japanese fact fans!) it seems best suited to chopping up samples and then playing them live.

Anyone else got a sampler and got any advice on them?
