Intervention just popped up on shuffle, and I proper done got the chills. Lets talk about Arcade Fire and how you used to love them.
I got given Funeral by an American friend a bit before it was released over here. Booked to see them at Manchester Academy 3 - then the album came out and it was pushed up to Academy 2, and possibly 1, can't really remember. Stunning show though. Listened the hell out of that album that summer. Great driving album.
Remember sitting listening to Zane Lowe (boo) to hear the first play of Intervention. That album never grabbed me so much, bit slick for me, but the show at Manc Apollo around that time was storming. Saw them at Latitude at some point too, and at some other festival, not sure.
Strolled to the O2 on the offchance a year or two back, and got a touty ticket for £15, they were still sounding phenomenal.
Never really listened to the third album, though I have it somewhere. Is it worth a go?
