Jaggity Jag Jag Jag: 100m work-conducive mix
yo DiSfolk,
this might interest people, especially those with deadlines or exams to hit in the coming weeks. I have more free time on my hands now than usual, so I decided to put something together:
What I've come up with is 33 tracks long, just over 100 minutes and hovers in the grey area between a mix and a mixtape. It's sequenced to have a definite structure, loosely split into three parts that gradually build in momentum before disintegrating. The majority is mixed properly but some of the tracks just kinda melt into one another; a handful of the blends were a little sloppy as per. There's a wealth of variety: ambient soundscapes, modern classical, minimal, dub techno, space disco, vintage electro, chillwave, vaporwave (yep) plus a few more propulsive tracks here and there; a lot of very recent cuts and maybe half a dozen stone-cold classics to boot. Also two or three vocal samples buried around the place but I've purposefully made it almost entirely instrumental to minimise distraction, bar one song towards the finish line. Oh and the mix comes full circle, so it can loop indefinitely if you're that way inclined.
Anyway, some people might find it useful to work to, and that's the crux of the whole thing really. There's a 320kbps link available on the Soundcloud if anyone fancies a d/l. Cool, hope it's alright
