From their low-key unveiling as a humble three-piece less than 18 months ago, to their mindblowingly-accomplished 2012 debut Control Is Not Perfection and rebirth as a 5-piece live monster, to say that Bury St Edmunds’ CATHEDRALS & CARS have come a long way fast is something of an understatement. Destined to become arena-conquering cult heroes in the tradition of Radiohead and The Cure, you need to see this band in tiny venues while you can. Support comes from London’s GHOST CARRIAGE PHANTOMS, whose heartfelt, lyrical post-rock anthems call to mind a summit between Red House Painters and Mogwai. The night also features the debut live outings of two new Bury bands: LAPLUCAS bring their own brand of rocked-up, progressive hip-hop, while LATE NIGHT TRAFFIC combine indie, alt-rock and dance influences to thrilling effect. We’re good to you. We really are.
