Discuss this with me please. Just made an effort to listen to it despite finding previous stuff pretty much unlistenable as I quite like the single and my gf is a big fan and it's nice (but rare) to find common musical ground with her.

Quite like the album though but here are my bugbears. Why is everyone so obsessed with fucking reverb on vocals these days and what does the crackly old aesthetic add to anything? I appreciate it's all a matter of personal taste and everything but I just find it so alienating and I really think it's a major factor for why I'm finding less and less new music to appreciate at the minute.

I'm going to give it another few listens as this is one of the rare times where I think there is enough there for me to overlook the bits I find irritating, hopefully I can grow to love this and in turn, start getting excited about non-*urban* music again.
