indie rock band with a 'castrato' as a singer
I'm thinking of Placebo, Muse, Easyworld, Malluka, Serum...

Mine was Serum. 'feeling is believing' was a great single !
PS : i know most of this bands aren't really indie or rock and that their singer aren't castrato ( even if some of them definitely deserve to be castrate ! )
