I'd say it was early-mid nineties, very much a song of my childhood, the verse has a boyband-ish vocal and a trip-hop-ish beat, then the chorus has this very world-music-ish old dude going whhhyyyyyaaaaaa-AAHHHHHHHHHHHH-eeeeyaaaaawwahhhhhyyaaaaaaaaaa for fucking ages. Some girl whispers a bit near the end.
