sorry i hate starting headphone threads on here but googling this stuff is a giant head-fuck and i trust DiSers tastes. i was on the Senn ie6's until they stopped working, but they seem to have stopped making/supplying them (?)..so thought i might go for an upgrade. want phones with plenty of that bass thing.

anything cheaper than ie8 that would be comparable in quality? also foam buds were costing me a bomb there (keep degrading after certain amount of use) so would be great if there was something that didn't rely on foam buds as much (unlikely as that is)
