I have noticed a growing trend for pop songs that only really work as 30 second bursts of chorus. They work smashingly well in adverts and as ringtones I'm sure, but as far as working as a complete song - nope.

The charts always used to be full of shite but at least they were songs.

Is this a thing? Or is this another sign I'm getting old?
