There's been surprisingly little chat about this album on the boards. I don't think its even been reviewed officially here yet?

Anyway its a great album, one of my favourites released this year. I have to say though apart from the opening track which is very immediate and catchy it took me a while to grow to the record.

It has a sort of claustrophobic sound and an intensity which I think Fionna apple fans will already be familiar with. That and the sometimes abrasive recorded sounds and intricate percussion used throughout meant I didn't immediately warm to it.

But there is such good song-writing on this that I came back to it and love it now.

The lyrics are fantastic too, which is not something Il pick up a record for but if its there it really adds.
